Senior Accountant at Permian Basin Area Foundation

Job Description

Permian Basin Area Foundation is seeking to hire a Senior Accountant.  The Senior Accountant will be responsible for financial accounting and reporting activities of the Foundation, including: financial accounting, reporting, internal controls, bank and investment account reconciliations and annual financial statement audits.

The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills, high technical proficiency with personal computer and standard office software programs, accounting programs, and the capacity to learn new programs to support new tasks and efficiencies.  A Bachelor’s Degree or MBA in Accounting is required; CPA or CPA candidate is strongly preferred.  The successful candidate will also have five or more years of increasing responsibility in financial management and reporting, including knowledge of non-profit and fund accounting, finance and general business administration.

The Senior Accountant is a new position created due to ongoing growth of the Foundation.  The successful candidate will demonstrate the potential to promote to the position of Controller in the future.  The Senior Accountant will report to the Chief Financial Officer.
