Praise & Worship Director at Teen F.L.O.W. Youth Ministries

Job Description

Summary: Reporting to the Executive Director, the Worship Minister is responsible for providing leadership in the areas of music, visual, sound, and pastoral care of music leaders. He/She is to use the position to develop praise and worship, singularly and corporately, for TEEN F.L.O.W. Youth Ministries by and through instruction, guidance, and opportunities for sound moral music.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
-Maintain, establish, all responsibilities for the praise & worship team
-Coordinate timely direction, and quality of the Praise and Worship Ministry with: Specials Further education for leaders P&W team devotionals and evaluations of progress
-Provide spiritual and musical instruction, guidance, standards, and supervision to: P&W team Sound and Media team Special events
-Direct and support spiritual growth of Teen F.L.O.W. members through small groups, bible study, service to others, and fellowship opportunities.
-Maintain and monitor approved budget for the praise and worship teams of sound and visual.
-Provide a setting for worship free of hinderance; stage, sound/visual presentations and working areas.
-Communicate all progress, plans, developments, etc., through weekly (bi-weekly) staff meetings and if necessary planned meeting with the Leadership Team(s).
-Coordinating and setting up all equipment ready for praise and worship production
-Record and edit video announcements for the week (assisted by Programs and Outreach) Prior planning for P&W teams on song choice
-Creating schedules for song review, edits/transpose Organize song choices
-Communicate and oversee Media, Ushers, Lights, etc. Ministries.
-Direct organization systems to support sustainable model of ministry
-Conduct talent reviews in talent, song, skits, or/and preaching
-Should an accompaniment, cd, or instrument used, a scheduled practice must be coordinated prior to performing live.
-Coordinate with P&W team song selection and set-up scheduled times prior for practice.

Outreach responsibilities:
-Schedule home visits with students on a weekly basis (phone, visits, conference, and/or send cards) (Assisted by Programs & Outreach Director)
-Promote Leadership for expansion to grow as a family in Christ.

Experience and Education:
The ideal candidate will have the following: A minimum of an Associates degree in media or related field; preferred Bachelors degree; 2-5 years of Praise & Worship, and media production experience.
