Licensed Counselor: LPC, LMFT, or LCSW at Agape Counseling Services of West Texas

Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  1. Maintain a direct-care client load with required documentation (diagnoses, treatment plans, progress notes, etc.) and follow-up appointments 
    ~Commitment to at least 34 hours/week open for clients 
    ~Commitment to two evenings/week OR one evening and a Saturday each week. 
    ~Commitment to at least one day/week at a satellite office 

  1. Participate in staffing and in-service meetings as scheduled 

  1. If so gifted, a willingness to conduct groups, seminars, workshops, etc. 

  1. Contribute to team spirit and comradery 

  1. Positive rapport with clients 

  1. Appropriately represent Agape Counseling to the public 

  1. Perform other tasks as deemed necessary. 

Benefits – Financial  

  1. Annual compensation range of $28,000 to $53,000 determined largely by case load (800 to 1,100 sessions annually).  This includes bonus money for sessions above base minimum.

 About Agape Counseling Services of West Texas: 
Agape Counseling is a Christian-based, 501(c)3 non-profit corporation dedicated to the mission of “facilitating mental and emotional health through professional counseling from a Christian perspective.”  We are an out-patient agency including collaborative programing with the local hospital, Midland ISD, a district courtthe local State university, and various church denominations.  Located in Midland and Odessa we draw clients from multiple surrounding counties.  Just over six years old, we have 12 counselors counting full-time, part-time, licensed interns, and student interns.  Licenses represented include LPC-S, LPC, LMFT-S, LCSW, LCDC, and LPC-Intern. 

Our experienced therapists have successfully treated children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families with a wide variety of issues such as abuse, anger, anxiety, bi-polar related issues, communication, conflict, coping, depression, divorce, grief, guilt, life transitions, marital, parenting, problem solving, self-esteem, sexual issues, spiritual issues, substance abuse, suicide, trauma, and veteran’s issues. 

In addition to traditional counseling, we also provide groups, workshops, seminars, conflict management, critical incident services, and an educational program to shepherd potential counselors from practicum level through full licensure with supervisor status.
