Education Manager at Junior Achievement of the Permian Basin

Job Description

Junior Achievement Junior Achievement is a national non-profit organization who utilizes community leaders and business professionals to volunteer their time delivering economic education curriculum to students in Kindergarten through 12th grade classrooms. Junior Achievement of the Permian Basin is a local operation who educates over 4,000 students from about 200 classrooms in Midland and Ector County school districts with programs focusing in (1) financial literacy, (2) entrepreneurship, and (3) work readiness. Junior Achievement exists to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.

The Education Manager is responsible for the day-to-day functionality of the Junior Achievement programming within cooperating school districts and for developing relationships with potential schools and school districts.

Position Details:
• Salaried, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week) plus mileage

• The Education Manager reports directly to Junior Achievement of the Permian Basin’s Executive Director
• The Education Manager is expected to fulfill all responsibilities concerning relationships with volunteers, potential volunteer recruitment opportunities, contacts at the schools, and, when necessary with students

• Organize Junior Achievement programs within the schools served by JA of the Permian Basin
• Communicate details regarding the curriculum, class periods, and dates of the program with teachers, administrators, & volunteers
• Coordinate & recruit volunteers to fill programs
• Train new volunteers & offer continued training to returning volunteers
• Develop and administer volunteer recruitment strategies
• Develop and administer a stewardship plan for all educators, volunteers, and organizations who provide volunteers to JA
• Submit class and volunteer information into BCRM Database
• Update Board of Directors on JA program implementation and results
• Gather impact and success stories
• Continually improve JA’s program implementation
• Assist Executive Director with special fundraising events, as necessary
• Complete necessary clerical duties, as necessary

• Organization skills, able to multi-task, ability to problem solve positively
• Team player, willing to stay to keep relationships with stakeholders and volunteers consistent
• Computer literate
• Capability to speak in front audiences ranging from 1 – 50.
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Reliable Transportation
