Education and Program Coordinator - Part-time at George W. Bush Childhood Home

Our staff is growing! The goal of this position is to become familiar with all aspects of the museum operations with a focus on creating and overseeing educational programs including literacy and community outreach. Responsibilities will include working with the Executive Director and Assistant Director to maintain and grow existing literacy and education programs, researching and coordinating new programs geared towards literacy, history and social studies, maintaining tracking databases, working with staff to plan and execute specific programs and working with other nonprofit and civic organizations on large events.

This is a part-time position of 25 hrs/week including working some weekends. This position offers flexible hours and could become a full-time position in the future. A Bachelors degree, previous museum experience and basic accounting are preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and ability to stand for long periods is required.
