EXEMPTION STATUS: Non-exempt, qualifies for overtime

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Working under the supervision of the SHARE Program Director, the Program Coordinator will support SHARE'S mission by cultivating community involvement in and support for the mission, vision and programs of SHARE. The Program Coordinator will plan and coordinate the Respite Care, Parent Connection and Sibling Support Programs. The Program Coordinator will develop relationships with community partners and families who have children with special needs.


Education: At least two years of college; related work experience may be substituted for college credit

-Must pass a criminal background check
-Very good communication skills
-Ability to work with a team and take the lead in planning, coordinating, and implementing programs
-Computer literate with proficiency in Word and Excel or comparable software
-Willingness to learn about disabilities and how they impact the family dynamics
-Self motivated
-Ability to identify and recruit families who qualify for SHARE
-Possess excellent organizational skills
-Bilingual Experience

-Assist the Program Director by planning and coordinating SHARE programs and activities
-Work with Coordinator of Volunteers to plan and staff programs
-Represent SHARE at functions as assigned, including evening and weekend events
-Maintain contact with families who are enrolled in SHARE's programs
-Maintain and Update Care Plans
-Participate in Program/Quality Assurance Committee meetings
-Attend Board Meetings and provide reports on the progress of SHARE's programs as needed
-Communicate with families both English and Spanish speaking
-Perform other duties as assigned.
